Special Schedule for School Holidays

SEPTEMBER 25 AND NOVEMBER 13

  • 10 to 10:50 a.m.: Open ringette (6 to 17 year olds)
  • 11 to 11:50 a.m.: Shinny hockey (8 to 17 year olds)
  • 12 to 2:15 p.m.: Public skating (for all)

Participants must bring their own equipment. / Children 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.


ADULT AND TOTS SKATING

Free activity, no registration required

 Fall Session - September 1st to December 17

  • TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS, from 12 to 1:20 p.m.
    *Exceptions: September 22 and November 3

Rules:

  • One-third of the ice is reserved for tots / Two-thirds of the ice are reserved for adults
  • Parents on skates must be present on the ice
  • Mittens and helmet mandatory for tots


PUBLIC SKATING

Free activity, no registration required

 Fall Session - August 29 to December 19

  • SATURDAYS, from 7 to 8:15 p.m.
    *Exception: October 24
  • SUNDAYS, from 2 to 3:45 p.m.

Rules: 

  • Mandatory mittens and helmets for 11 year olds and under
  • Skate tying to take place in the first section of stands

 

ADULT SHINNY HOCKEY (18+)*

 Fall Session - August 26 to December 16

  • MONDAYS and WEDNESDAYS, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
    *Exceptions: September 7 and October 12

Rules:

  • Mandatory equipment: Helmet, visor, neck guard and gloves
  • Free with proof of residency in Kirkland*
  • $5 without proof of residency and for non-residents. No refunds.*

*Weekly Online Registration for Hockey

You must have an ACTIVE AccèsCité Loisirs account to be able to register. You will find the procedure to create your account here. Accounts are only activated on weekdays during the Recreation Department’s business hours.

  • Kirkland residents: as of FRIDAY 9 a.m., for the following week
  • Non-residents: as of MONDAY at 12 noon, for the current week
  • Online registration ends at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays.

 Admission:

  • Free for Kirkland residents
  • $5 for non-residents
  • Important: You must complete the transaction (CHECK OUT) even if it's for a free activity.
