Halls and Park Chalets

The Town of Kirkland has many halls and park chalets that citizens, associations and organizations can rent out for different occasions or activities (banquets, meetings, parties, exhibits, shows, etc.).

Short-term rentals

To submit a short-term rental request, please first complete the Facility Rental Request Form* and return it to the Recreation Department by email or in person at the Recreation offices located at the Sports Complex.

Long-term rentals

To submit a long-term rental request (weekly events, monthly meetings, etc.), please contact the Facility Rental Agent directly by phone or email:

The rental tariffs listed below apply to short-term rentals. For long-term rental requests, such as recurring activities or monthly meetings, please contact the Facility Rental Agent directly by phone or email.

* The Resident tariff is available upon presentation of two (2) valid proofs of residency.

** The refundable deposit is required for short-term rentals and will be refunded after the event, provided all terms and conditions of the rental agreement have been met.

Proof of Residency (Resident Tariff)

To qualify for the resident tariff, two (2) valid proofs of residency must be provided at the time of booking. Submitted documents must be recent, show your name, address and date, and include at least one piece of photo identification.

  • Driver’s licence
  • Recent utility bill showing your address (electricity, telephone, etc.)
  • Insurance policy or certificate (home or automobile)
  • Government-issued cheque
  • Recent bank statement
  • Recent credit card statement
  • Recent government-issued document showing your name and address
  • Refugee status document or proof of permanent residency application
  • Federal or provincial income tax return
  • Municipal or school tax bill
  • School report card showing your name and address
  • Property assessment notice showing the address of your principal residence
  • Health insurance card (adults: plus 2 proofs of residency)
  • Passport (adults: plus 2 proofs of residency)
  • Birth certificate (adults: plus 2 proofs of residency)
  • Six (6) business days or more before the event: Additional fee of $20 per modification

  • Five (5) business days or less before the event: No changes allowed; there will be no refunds or credit notes issued.
  • Six (6) business days or more before the event: A penalty of 20 % of the total rental amount is charged

  • Five (5) business days or less before the event: No refunds or credit notes will be issued.

Under the Code of Ethics and Conduct governing municipal employees, Kirkland staff members are strictly prohibited from accepting any donations, hospitalities or other benefits, no matter the value, in the performance of their duties.
