Corks

Kirkland residents can now add corks to their list of recyclable materials and bring their natural corks to the Municipal Yard (25 Claude-Jodoin St.) according to the following schedule:

  • MAY TO OCTOBER:  Every Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon
  • NOVEMBER TO APRIL:   1st Saturday of the month, from 9 a.m. to noon

This material is in high demand due to its resistance to humidity and mildew. The collected corks will be used to create new products such as shoe soles, insulating material and sports accessories.

Give corks a new life by dropping them off at the Municipal Yard!
