Fleurons du Québec

FLEURONS DU QUÉBEC

The Town of Kirkland proudly holds the five Fleurons certification, awarded by Fleurons du Québec in recognition of the beauty and cleanliness of its landscaped areas. This horticultural classification program aims to enhance the visual appeal of municipalities across Quebec in the municipal, residential, institutional, and commercial sectors.

Evaluation

The organization surveys approximately 60% of each municipality’s territory to assess the landscaping visible from public spaces. The evaluation focuses on five key sectors: municipal, institutional, residential, commercial, and industrial. Additionally, community initiatives and sustainable development efforts are taken into account and contribute to the final score.

All residents, business owners, and institutions are encouraged to take part in the movement by enhancing the landscaping around their homes or buildings.
