Preventative boil-water advisory

As soon as the drinking water supply is restored to your household, a preventative boil-water advisory will be in effect until further notice (minimum of 48 hours). You will need to bail your tap water for at least one minute before drinking it, for food preparation and to brush your teeth.

Lifting of the preventative advisory

Following this work, water samples will be taken at various locations and submitted to laboratory analysis. You will receive a new door hanger advising you of the lifting of the bail-water advisory as soon as

Applicable recommendations during boil-water periods:

Please note that you must boil your tap water (bringing it to a bubbling boil) for at least 1 minute before drinking it, or use bottled water for:

• drinking or preparing beverages;
• preparing baby bottles and baby food;
• washing and preparing food to be eaten raw (fruits, vegetables, etc.);
• preparing food that doesn’t require long cooking time;
• making ice cubes;
• brushing your teeth or rinsing your mouth;
• providing water to pets.

You may use unboiled tap water to:

• prepare food and dishes that require long boiling time for cooking;
• wash dishes in hot water, making sure to dry them well;
• wash clothing;
• take a shower or bath (make sure that young children do not swallow water while bathing).
