Please note that emergency work carried out this morning on the water distribution system in the Timberlea area may result in a temporary reduction in water pressure, as well as cloudy or discoloured water in the distribution system serving the Holleuffer District.

If this occurs, run the cold water tap in your bathtub for approximately 15 minutes, or until the water runs clear.

Residents are also advised to avoid activities requiring a continuous supply of water, such as doing laundry.

Please be advised that the boil water advisory issued on September 8 for all addresses in the Timberlea District has been lifted.

Tap water may now be consumed safely without having to boil it. Tests revealed that the water is safe to drink and presents no health risk.

Please note that we will be inspecting fire hydrants in Sector 3 from September 8 to 11. Inspection work will be carried out overnight from 11:30 pm to 7:30 am.

This work may cause cloudy or colored water throughout the aqueduct network. If you are experiencing this situation, let the cold water run in the bathtub for approximately 15 minutes or until it runs clear.

Targeted location: Place du Souvenir, Aesop St., Allard St., Derome St. and Pasquini St.

Nature of work: 

• Reconstruction of curbs, upper foundation and paving
• Electrical work and installation of LED lighting
• Replacement of fire hydrants and valves

Traffic: Local traffic will be maintained for the duration of the work.

Dates: Starting June 29

Location: Saint-Charles Boulevard South, at the intersection of Sainte-Marie Road East

Nature of the work: Work will be carried out to reconfigure the right-turn lane providing access to Saint-Charles Boulevard South from Sainte-Marie Road East. This work is being carried out as part of Sotramont’s ongoing residential development project.

Traffic disruptions to be expected: The existing merge lane onto Saint-Charles Boulevard South will be completely closed. Road users must follow the new signage installed in the area.
