Once service has been restored, a precautionary boil water advisory will be in effect for a minimum of 48 hours and until further notice. Precautionary Boil-Water Advisory RECOMMENDATIONS: Please note that you must boil your tap water (bringing it to a bubbling boil) for at least 1 minute before drinking it, or use bottled water for: drinking or preparing beverages; preparing baby bottles and baby food; washing and preparing food to be eaten raw (fruits, vegetables, etc.); preparing food that doesn’t require long cooking time; making ice cubes; brushing your teeth or rinsing your mouth; providing water to pets. YOU MAY USE UNBOILED TAP WATER TO : prepare food and dishes that require long boiling time for cooking; wash dishes in hot water, making sure to dry them well; wash clothing; take a shower or bath (make sure that young children do not swallow water while bathing). Lifting of the boil-water advisory Water samples will be collected from various locations and submitted for laboratory analysis. The boil-water advisory will be lifted once we receive the results of these tests, which requires a minimum of 48 hours. Coyotes in urban areas: Adopting the right habits

Coyotes are a natural part of the urban wildlife landscape. Generally wary of humans and most active at night, they may nevertheless venture into residential neighbourhoods in search of food or shelter.

Certain human behaviours, such as leaving garbage, food or pet food accessible, can attract coyotes and reduce their natural wariness of humans. By taking a few simple precautions, residents can help promote safe and respectful coexistence.

Keeping coyotes away from residential areas

Never feed a coyote or any other wild animal.
Keep garbage, compost and food waste out of reach.
Use containers with securely closed lids.
Pick up fallen fruit from your yard.
Keep dogs on a leash and cats indoors, especially at night.
Teach children to observe wildlife from a safe distance.

What to do if you encounter a coyote

Remain calm and slowly move away.
Keep your dog close to you.
Do not run or turn your back on the coyote.
Do not approach or attempt to feed the animal.
If the coyote approaches or refuses to move away, make yourself appear larger by raising your arms, making noise or shouting.
