Nature of work: Storm drain repair work will be carried out on Saint-Charles Boulevard.
Date and time: Monday, August 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Traffic impacts:
To allow the work to proceed, one traffic lane will be closed on Saint-Charles Boulevard for the duration of the work.
The work is scheduled between peak traffic periods to minimize impacts on traffic flow. However, motorists should expect delays in the area.

Nature of work:
Reconstruction of curbs, upper foundation and paving
Electrical work and installation of LED lighting
Replacement of fire hydrants and valves
Traffic: Local traffic will be maintained for the duration of the work.
*Residents planning landscaping work, driveway repairs, exterior painting, window washing or similar projects are advised to wait until the end of the construction period.

Despite the ongoing storm sewer replacement work on Argyle Road, Canada Post will continue delivering mail to the community mailbox located within the work zone, behind the construction fences on Acres Road. Residents concerned will be able to access it safely by using the designated pedestrian corridor.
Nature of work: Replacement of a section of the storm sewer network on Argyle Street. This work is required to ensure the proper functioning of municipal infrastructure and maintain the reliability of the stormwater drainage system.
Location: Argyle Street, between Acres Street and the Kirkland limit
Start date: August 3, 2026
Expected impacts: Temporary traffic disruptions, as well as an increased presence of construction equipment and personnel in the work area, are to be expected throughout the duration of the project.

Location: Saint-Charles Boulevard South, at the intersection of Sainte-Marie Road East
Nature of the work: Work will be carried out to reconfigure the right-turn lane providing access to Saint-Charles Boulevard South from Sainte-Marie Road East. This work is being carried out as part of Sotramont’s ongoing residential development project.
Traffic disruptions to be expected: The existing merge lane onto Saint-Charles Boulevard South will be completely closed. Road users must follow the new signage installed in the area.
Online payment via ACCEO transphere: The secure payment platform is provided by Bambora/Worldline located in Victoria, B.C.
Administration fees:

Notice to Participants
You must be registered in order to attend a class.
Participants must attend only the class for which they are registered. Attending another class to make up for a missed session is not permitted and no credit or refund can be issued for the participants’ absence - without exception.
Please carefully take note of your program’s exception dates, as indicated on your registration receipt and in the Activities Brochure. No reminder will be sent.
Any last-minute class cancellation will be communicated by email from the Recreation Department. Please remember to check your messages (including your junk or spam folder) before heading to your class.
Please note that the presence of a specific instructor cannot always be guaranteed. Some changes may occur at any time due to circumstances beyond our control.
Please fill out the cancellation request form available online or at the Recreation Department.
Seasonal recreation or library program: A $10 fee applies to all cancellation or transfer requests (whether for refund or credit). *Exclusion: day camp (see specific policy)
Refunds will not be issued after the first class, with the exception of the following:
Health issues (a doctor's note must be provided);
Moving out of the area (a proof of new residency must be provided)
Reimbursement is calculated on a prorata basis to the number of classes elapsed upon receipt of the cancellation form and cancellation fees apply.
One-time activity (e.g. babysitting course):
A $10 fee will be charged for cancellations and transfers received more than 10 business days prior to the event. Requests for refunds or transfers received 10 business days or less before the activity will not be accepted.
Special events and drop-in activities:
No credits or refunds.
Recreation Agreement With the City of Beaconsfield
Thanks to an agreement between the Recreation Departments of the cities of Beaconsfield and Kirkland, Kirkland residents can register in any Beaconsfield recreation program (except for Day Camps), for the same fee as that paid by Beaconsfield residents. We hope that this agreement will give our residents the opportunity to enjoy a much wider spectrum of recreation activities. To consult the service agreement, click here.
Elevator Out of Service at the Sports Complex
The Town of Kirkland wishes to inform residents that the elevator at the Sports Complex is currently out of service until further notice. As a result, during this period, access to the Reception Hall located on the 2nd floor is available by stairs only.
The Town plans to proceed with the complete replacement of the elevator, as the existing equipment has become outdated. A call for tenders will be issued in the near future to allow for the installation of a new elevator that complies with current standards and regulations. The target date for restoring service is November 2026.
