Town Planning

Formed of 9 voting members which consists of 7 residents and 2 elected officials in addition to a secretary and a resource person, the Urban Planning Advisory Committee (UPAC) is responsible for reviewing the various projects submitted to the town in application of its zoning, construction and subdivision by-laws and for making recommendations to the town council in this respect.

In collaboration with the Engineering and Urban Planning Department, the Urban Planning Committee has the mandate to study any requests regarding subdivision of land, minor exemptions, the amendment of zoning regulations and requests for permits/certificates in light of the objectives and criteria stipulated in the Town’s Planning and Architectural Integration Program.
