Door-to-Door Solicitation: Stay Vigilant

The Town of Kirkland would like to inform residents that an increase in reports related to door-to-door solicitation has recently been observed in the area. Some individuals have been visiting homes to offer various commercial services, such as chimney sweeping, lawn treatment, attic insulation,  caulking services, etc.

The Town reminds residents that, at this time, NO commercial company is authorized to conduct door‑to‑door solicitation in residential areas.

What to do if a salesperson comes to your door?

  • Always remain vigilant.
  • Contact the Municipal Patrol at 514‑630‑1234 and provide any relevant information about the company (company name, phone number, business card, etc.).
  • If the person becomes persistent, shows suspicious behaviour or acts aggressively, call 9‑1‑1 immediately.

Thank you for your vigilance and cooperation.
